Start with a Habit….

A habit isn’t a one off, unique event. Ever wanted to ‘get’ into one or ‘back’ into one? It has to start at a particular point.

Whatever the situation, spark or nature of your starting position, like a steam train, there is a push…then another, then another.

In one of my favourites books (which is signed by the author!) The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, talks about BIGMO,
The momentum that is generated when you strive for something that is pushed by habit.

The Compound Effect is a marvellous read, which looks at what it takes to be successful, that the hard graft is keeping a successful series of habits that thrust you toward your goal.

In truth, it is all there in front of you, it is the discipline of the said habit which is the tricky part

Everyone wants success in some format, all that is needed is a damn good plan and the discipline to implement it. Whether its a meeting, becoming ‘smoke free’, increased fitness or an individual eating plan. The key is all in the preparation & discipline.

Now, there will be mistakes, there maybe difficulties to encounter, but by driving through the barriers & fuelling that fire of determination in your belly you’ll get to the top of your mountain (however high it is)

Ladies & Gentlemen, start your engines and set off on your beautiful journey.

Living with Cerebal Palsy has its challenges, but everyone has their individual hurdles to negotiate. Gaining strength both physically & mentally and adapting to the surrounding is all part of this journey.
