Getting Back Taste AND Time!

Actually prepping my nutrition isn’t the hard part. The knowledge & understanding of what’s right for your body has taken a lot of time & coaching – THAT has been the hardest transition mindset at the outset.

The organisation of the different components requires discipline, patience and dash of multi-tasking (ok just the management of your kitchen hobs!)

Until recently I used to overlook my food, through habit more than anything – be it 5+ minute eggs, well done steak, flavourless broccoli – in truth I wasn’t doing myself any favours (I’ve been ridiculed for the well done steak!). The desire to do more with my time led to experiments with the aforementioned foods and as a result I now enjoy lush soft eggs, a decent flavoursome rare steak and broccoli that doesn’t resemble mushed up baby food – best of all, my cooking has reduced and freed up more time – WIN WIN in my book – conclusion? Test the water more often and be a little bolder when it comes to taste!

Bringing you the latest in not only my personal journal into the world of disability Bodybuilding, but a discovery into latest events, profiles, news and promoting awareness of this great sport Based in Bristol in the UK, I’ve been competing in Disability Bodybuilding for the last 3 years in a journey which has taken me all over the country to national, international & world championships and I am so so grateful for that opportunity that had changed my life. Living with Cerebal Palsy has its challenges, but everyone has their individual hurdles to negotiate. Gaining strength both physically & mentally and adapting to the surrounding is all part of this journey. This is a mission to raise awareness, to promote our great category to develop opportunities for others. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss more!
