A given book, a given place…

I recently had a clear out, or rather “a passing on” of a few books, primarily to make way for new ones, but nevertheless some where more difficult to part with than others.

I love my books, I feel a sense fulfilment in finishing a great text, I always have – but with space at a premium I had to make some changes.

That said, what I discovered in the clearing out process is that there are some you just cannot part with, not just because they are great (they’ve remained!) but the ones that have an emotional attachment either the breakthrough it provided you with or a book that brings back a striking memory from a time, a feeling, an emotion that cannot be chucked a side.

I’ve embraced the digital age – I Consume books and media in many different formats but you still cannot come close to the sentiment that some books will ignite within you.
Is there a book or a text that you just cannot part with?

Bringing you the latest in not only my personal journal into the world of disability Bodybuilding, but a discovery into latest events, profiles, news and promoting awareness of this great sport Based in Bristol in the UK, I’ve been competing in Disability Bodybuilding for the last 3 years in a journey which has taken me all over the country to national, international & world championships and I am so so grateful for that opportunity that had changed my life. Living with Cerebal Palsy has its challenges, but everyone has their individual hurdles to negotiate. Gaining strength both physically & mentally and adapting to the surrounding is all part of this journey. This is a mission to raise awareness, to promote our great category to develop opportunities for others. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss more!
